Can I use the Java that ships with Postconf for other
applications?

    Probably, however, only some versions of PostConf ship with their own
    Java Runtime Environment (JRE).  If your Operating System has a Sun
    Java-compatible package available PostConf may use the installed
    version, (/usr/java), rather than its own (/usr/postconf/java).
